Baccarat on the kitchen table while dinner finished
Dinner was in the oven and I had nothing left to chop, so I sat at the kitchen table and opened a baccarat game I’d seen in a group chat. Figured one or two hands would be done before the timer went off. Banker won the first, player the second, and I closed it when the oven beeped. Felt slower than blackjack but less to think about. Do people actually sit with baccarat for a while, or is it mostly something you open when you’re already waiting on something else?

Baccarat always looks cleaner than the games with a bunch of side bets stacked on the side. I’ve watched people play it at a friend’s place and half the time they’re just waiting for the next card instead of calculating. Reminds me of the quiet tables in the back of places I walked through years ago, less noise than the slots. I never stuck with it long. Mostly noticed how little talking happened compared to poker nights. Different pace. I still like games where someone has to shuffle for real and the pause is longer.
