In 2005, the Peanut chose to come to life through my hands.
Since then, it has moved through the world, weaving connections
and igniting the spark of co-creation, carried by my heart
and the hearts of many others.

The Peanut was born in 2005 as a small ceramic object, unnamed and humble.
Over time, an unexpected, almost magical power revealed itself: people didn’t only contemplate it, they recognized it and began to interact with it. For 21 years, the Peanut has touched thousands of lives as a symbol of co-creation and peace, and as an intimate reminder of our essential connection with our essence and the universe.
But it has also had a very tangible effect: it has sparked real collaborations. People who didn’t know each other have found one another through it; initiatives have emerged, paths have aligned, and art calls have been answered. Again and again, the Peanut has shown its ability to activate participation with enthusiasm, hope, and a spirit of creative joy.
The Peanut seems to operate within a field of resonance. It relates on many levels, across multiple languages, cultures, and sensitivities. Often the call is spontaneous: a “yes” in the body, a quiet clarity, an impulse to create something together. And throughout this celebration, we will share images that show exactly that: how the Peanut meets life everywhere and invites relationship.
In Mexico, its place of origin, especially around the lagoon of Bacalar and across the Yucatán Peninsula, a growing web of initiatives is aligning around its core values and the field it has created. What began as a local current is now expanding into the world.
Now the Peanut turns 21.
And we want to celebrate by embodying its spirit: creating together.
Why this celebration matters
The Peanut holds a frequency: everything is possible.
Not as a slogan, but as a lived invitation to coherence, alignment, and creative action. Coherence is returning to our inner presence and aligning within and with the universe, so we can create from a place of authenticity , love and connection. We rise. We root into the Earth. We become a channel for the inspiration and intelligence of life, and we take our unique place in the world.
This celebration is a global, creative “YES” to the future we know in our hearts is possible. A movement that moves out of extraction and separation, and walks toward wholeness, peace, and collaboration.
We all know we can only create this together. Let´s take the first step.
The Global Art Call
Create a Peanut-inspired piece and submit it.
Any technique. Any style. Any material. Any interpretation.
You can:

draw or paint a Peanut

sculpt it, build it, or embroider it

create it with sand, soil, stones, or plants
-
bake a Peanut cake or create a ritual offering
-
write a poem, a letter, or a short story
-
create digital art, animation, photography, or collage
-
compose music or create audio art (soundscapes, spoken word, experimental sound)
-
make a video of the process or the final piece
Your work can represent the Peanut itself, or the spirit of co-creation through the Peanut. What matters is that it comes from you.
Submission deadline: June 15th, 2026
Everyone is welcome
All ages, all cultures, all countries, all backgrounds.
Those who consider themselves “artists” and those who don’t.
Children are warmly invited, and groups are welcome too.
This can also be a powerful collective activity: a classroom creation, a workshop piece, a family project, or a community collaboration.
Co-creation is the point.
What we will create together
We will gather all contributions into a collective artwork: a global mosaic of images, textures, gestures, sounds, and visions.
Alongside the collective artwork, we will share a growing gallery of images from the past 21 years, showing how the Peanut has reached people everywhere and sparked connection, creativity, and collaboration.
A kind of “positive virus” of co-creation, gently spreading through the world.

What for? To fund the next 6 months of the Peant Project’s transition into its next stage:
1) Collective artwork and celebration (physical + digital)

Production and presentation of the collective artwork, both in physical and digital formats.

Creation, production, and community-building around the global art call.
2) Cartography of Living Water | Living Water Cartography

Development and launch of CARTOGRAFÍA DEL AGUA VIVA | LIVING WATER CARTOGRAPHY as an artistic and community-based initiative connected to place, water stewardship, and coherence with life.

Initial activations and collaborations in the region (Bacalar / Yucatán Peninsula) and connection with networks aligned with this work and values.
3) Project structure and sustainability

Establishment of a legal non-profit association (Asociación Civil) in Mexico.

Consolidating our stable working team.
4) Community and territory (Yucatán + Bacalar)
-
Production of 1,000 mini ceramic peanuts for artistic projects in communities across Yucatán and in the world.

Consolidating our work in the ejido of Pedro Antonio Santos, Q. Roo, supporting sustainable community development and the protection of ecosystems connected to the Bacalar lagoon.
5) Network expansion

Building connections with other initiatives and projects aligned with the values and philosophy of the Peanut.
